The original copyright is with "Railway Photographs, Coopers Buildings, Church Street, Liverpool" but I cannot find this business to ask about re-producing here - needless to say, these were shot with my Canon camera just by lying them on my PC keyboard so are quite poor compared to a proper scan, especially as they all are curled somewhat. Most are low quality, and some do not have any information on the back at all... I'll add more data when I can get the time.... I may put these up for sale on Ebay at some point. Thanks to the Industrial Locomotive Society I can add the following more comprehensive info... The Loco at NCB Howe Bridge, Lancs in actually ATHERTON, sister to ELLESMERE. It was built be Hawthorns & Co of Leith No 340 in 1867 and scrapped in 1952. The (L) in the caption just indicates it was built at Leith rather than by R & W Hawthorn & Co at Newcastle. CHEVALLIER the 0-6-2T at Bowaters, Sittingbourne is a very well known loco. Built by Manning, Wardle & Co at Leeds No 1877 of 1915. New preserved at Whipsnade Zoo. The loco at Hall & Co, who had a limeworks at Coulsdon, Surrey is their No 6, built by Hunslet, Leeds No 1684 in 1931. This too is preserved, now at the Middleton Railway, Leeds. The loco at Hilton Main Colliery, Featherstone, Staffs was their No 1, built by Hudswell, Clarke & Co at Leeds No 752 in 1891. Originally Barry Railway, later GWR 785. Scrapped in 1958. It is under construction, and some of the shots were taken with a very cheap digital camera so quality is lacking! I hope you get the gist of the line. It is Liskeard, Cornwall on the main line high level circuit, with the branch line running down under Liskeard viaduct to Coombe Junction and the Coombe Junction Halt. The line to Moorswater is not constructed yet, and the line to Looe disappears into a tunnel and runs around underneath Liskeard station to a fiddle yard. Another laege fiddle yard similar to Bodmin Road is be put in place on the main line circuit at the back. The lot is in my attic! Friday 9 January 2004: Shots taken of my OO gauge model railway. 'OO' Hornby Triang DMU on my model railway, at Coombe Junction next to yet to be modified factory. Using styrene as scenic supports on wooden frames recovered from an old kitchen! Quality! The fiddle yard in its early days... So its too early for clay hoods, and too late for a class 22, and its a class 29 anyway! But its close! The looe DMU takes the lower line, while the hydraulic climbs to Liskeard! The Looe train waits to depart from the Liskeard branch platform My modified Hornby class 29, now a hydraulic 22 (almost!) arrives at Liskeard yard. Liskeard yard - unfortunately it is very much smaller than the original! My modified Hornby class 22 starts the steep ascent to Liskeard with (wrongly!) a train of hooded china clay wagons.
